This is the second meeting of Southeastern's newest Special Interest Group! The Collections Development group will meet to discuss matters related to acquisition. This is the place to bring your questions and stories about topics such as: diversifying your collection, making choices on a small budget, and leveraging our resources to serve our communities. The exact agenda will be decided upon by attendees.
Like many of our SIGs, this meeting is intended to be a cross-type conversation. Library workers from academic, public, and school libraries are all welcome to share their viewpoints with colleagues. The intended audience for this meeting is library workers in the Southeastern NY Library Resources Council service area. (The eight-county area of Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Putnam and Rockland, NY.) All in this region are considered members or affiliate members. If you are from outside this region, you are welcome to join us. We appreciate the perspective that you might bring to our region, and hope that you understand that our conversation's focus may be on the Hudson Valley as we think globally and act locally.
