Codes & Procedures

Regional ILL Code (.pdf): The regional code regulating resource sharing between the members of our 8 county system.

Regional ILL Procedures (.pdf): The borrowing and loan procedures for resource sharing in the Southeastern region.

Procedures for ILL of Medical Information (.pdf): The procedures for requesting MISP (medical and consumer health) materials through Southeastern inter-library loan.  

Southeastern Interlibrary Loan Referral Form: Library staff can use this form to submit ILL requests to be filled by Southeastern. Medical related requests are filled at no cost to the borrowing library.  

ALA ILL form: ALA has created a standardized ILL form for requests that can’t be transmitted electronically.
 
Reasons for No (.pdf): A useful chart describing the meaning of common indicator codes received when ILL requests are denied.

CONTU provides guidelines on sending copies of journal articles through inter-library Loan.

Copyright Clearance Center:  If your library is at risk of violating a CONTU guideline, you can purchase copyright permissions for resource sharing through the Copyright Clearance Center.

ShareILL: This is a gateway to electronic and print resources pertaining to many aspects of interlibrary loan. It includes discussion lists, publications, projects, and information on professional associations.

​​​​Worldshare ILL training: OCLC has tutorials available to help with a variety of functions in their system including borrowing requests, lending requests, batch processing, and general configuration.

DOCLINE 6.0 Resources: Updates, webinars, and demos related to the new DOCLINE system.

Illiad new user guide: A link to the user guide for Illiad, with tutorials and videos on different functions.

SEAL Libguide: Resources for SEAL users including the manual, training videos, an FAQ, and information on regional delivery.
