Finance Manager & Personnel Officer — Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS)

MHLS Finance Manager & Personnel Officer: The Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its fiscal officer. The Finance Manager & Personnel Officer reports to the Executive Director and directs the organization's financial planning, government reporting and banking; serves as the personnel officer; supervises and manages general business office activities.

 
The person who is right for this position will have fiscal integrity, experience in budget development and financial forecasting; expert knowledge of accounting principles and payroll practices; experience working with benefits, personnel policies and human resources; excellent communication skills; professionalism; ability to problem solve, work with deadlines and maintain confidentiality; and pays attention to detail and is flexible.
 
A BA or BS degree in Accounting, or equivalent, with five years related experience and/or training is required.
 
MHLS is located in the city of Poughkeepsie and provides services to 66 member libraries across five counties. Our regular work week is Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The hiring salary for this full-time position is $65,000 with excellent benefits including New York State retirement, medical and dental insurance, and paid vacation and sick leave.
