The Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS) works with forty-seven libraries across four counties to offer excellent services and programs to meet the needs of our neighbors. We are seeking a candidate who has experience with a wide range of administrative, technical, and clerical skills to join our dedicate team.
This position will be work closely with the Executive Director and be responsible for developing, assembling, disseminating, and archiving all RCLS Board materials.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse clientele, manage their own workload and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain System statistics and collaborate with Fiscal Officer on Annual Report requirements. Record minutes and actions of the RCLS Board.
Update RCLS website. Maintain a working knowledge of RCLS Board Bylaws, Committees' obligations, and Robert's Rules of Order. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with System and member library staff, stakeholders, elected officials and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience as an administrative assistant or legal secretary or four (4) years of office administration experience. Demonstrated aptitude using Microsoft Office Suite and Cloud Technology.
Compensation: The position offers a starting salary of $39,000 (salary negotiable based upon experience), and a competitive benefits package.
