Part-Time Librarian I – Youth Services and Adult Services (Multiple Positions Available) — Middletown Thrall Library

Middletown Thrall Library is seeking to fill multiple part–time Librarian I positions in our Youth Services Department and our Adult Services Department to work up to 20 hours per week providing point of use reference services in person, at our computer workstations and via telephone at our Youth Services reference desk. 

We are currently seeking individuals who are available to work evening and weekend shifts but occasional morning, and afternoon shifts will be available as well.  Participation in weekend rotation of Saturday, (9:30 – 5:00) and Sunday (12:00 -4:00) shifts is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be in possession of a Master’s degree from an American Library Association accredited M.L.S. or M.S.I. S. program and a NYS Professional Librarian’s Certificate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess strong customer service and technology skills.  Knowledge of Sirsi-Dynix Symphony and Spanish language fluency a plus.

COMPENSATION:  $28.00 per hour
