The Tuxedo Park Library welcomes applicants for the full-time position of Publicity and Social Media Coordinator.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to create digital and print content that promotes the library’s services. Tuxedo Park Library is an Association Library and serves a community of over 3,600 in Tuxedo Park, NY.
General duties:
- Administer, create and execute regular content updates to the Library’s website using Wordpress
- Stay current with social media trends and develop marketing content for the library’s social media channels. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
- Design using Publisher and oversee the printing of the library’s newsletter. (3 times a year)
- Prepare and send out a weekly eNewsletter using Constant Contact
- Update and maintain a Calendar of Events in LibCal.
- Create content for an in-house digital sign using Powerpoint
- Help to maintain and manage the library’s WiFi, Mac and PC computers and other tech related equipment.
- Promote and market library programs using a variety of marketing channels
- Assist patrons with library computers and services
- Other duties and special projects as needed
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience with Wordpress and Publisher 2016, MS Office Suite
- Experience working with social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
- Experience with graphic design and editing tools like Photoshop Elements, Clip Champ, Canva
- Enjoys working with the public
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and work independently
The position is for a 40-hour workweek and includes two Saturdays a month. The salary is $45,000-$47,000 and benefits include a 403(B) retirement plan, payment in-lieu health benefit, and 3 weeks paid vacation.
